If This Doesn't Make You Wonder About Humanity
Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto has created a beautiful, undeniably scary time-lapse map of the 2053 nuclear explosions which have taken place between 1945 and 1998, beginning with the Manhattan Project's "Trinity" test near Los Alamos and concluding with Pakistan's nuclear tests in May of 1998. This leaves out North Korea's two alleged nuclear tests in this past decade (the legitimacy of both of which is not 100% clear).

Unbelievable. How many times do ya have to build a bomb and blow it up to see if it works? 5 or 6 times? I wonder if this video gives us a clue as to why there is so much cancer in the world, or why California might fall into the Pacific? It seems quite a few of these 2000 blasts - maybe 1000 of them? - were very close to the San Andreas Fault.
